First thanks goes to my beloved Jana. (SWMB=She Who Must Be Obeyed)

Since I have started this project I have made many new friends and acquaintances. Many via the Internet.  Some of those I have had face to face meetings (through project visits etc) and others I have had phone conversations with.

A couple have gone out of their way to provide me with better insight to the building and flying process.  One is Rob Johnson, who has written me long, thoughtful emails on his experience with Velocity.

Another, Andy Millin, has not only constantly provided input via e-mail, and sent me a rib/brisket seasoning kit he sells, he called me after my wing delivery to give me reassurance AND sent me his 56 inch long "Perma-grit" sanding block and long sanding tube to help make my wings better.  Thanks Andy.

Also, the folks at Velocity Inc. have been nothing but great.  Always seeming to be willing to provide help to the nervous new builder. Their graciousness to patiently answering the same questions to new and seasoned builders alike is appreciated.

Russell Brown, is my best friend....he is kinda a know it all....but he is a know it all for MY benefit (this is not a mean comment....he REALLY DOES know most things, in kinda a "Mr Spock" way).  He always has words and deeds of support.

The folks in my Local EAA Chapter 12, especially the Past President Dan Parsons.  His/their common interest and experience is motivating.

Finally, David Staten.  David has taken this project and made it his own. I met him the day my project was delivered, when a mutual friend, Russell's (above) wife, Jennifer, knowing his love of aviation, told him about my project and invited him over for the delivery.

David has not only aided with his time and insight, he has put his dollars where his mouth is and actually invested in several systems in the project.  He and I both rebuilt the rotary engine in Dec of '04 (following his diligent teardown, clean up and inspection), but he has continued to develop and refine our alternative engine install.  He also really likes avionics and is doing most of the planning for the panel.  This support and friendship is great.  We will not always agree, but we can discuss and debate in a manner that "steel sharpens steel" to come to a conclusion that make this a much better airplane.  David has a very methodical mind (useful in his duties as a Registered Nurse as well) and is able to thoughtfully apply knowledge from various sources.  He is the detail guy, where I am more of the concept and perseverance guy.
